Overview

There is no better way to explore the beautiful sceneries of Rose valley than by foot.

The valley of the Roses (Kalaat M’Gouna) is an inhabited valley because its soil is very rich and in the middle flows the M’Goun river fed by the snows of the Atlas. You will be amazed by the beauty of this valley.

You will have the opportunity to discover the culture and traditions of the local (Southern Central High Atlas) Berbers.

Luggage: On the hike the muleteers and mules recruited to carry your bag walk at their own pace, you will find the mat the evening stage, you only carry your belongings for the day.
Accommodations: 3 nights in Riad in Marrakech city. 6 nights in Gîte (Rural Guesthouse) during the hike.
Meals : Meals are prepared and served by a Moroccan cook who does wonders.

Day 1: Marrakech

Arrive in Marrakech and spend the night in the hotel or Riad.

Day 2: Exploring Marrakech city

After breakfast I will take you to explore Marrakech « the red city of Morocco ». I will ensure that you see the most important places of historical cultural interest, including the Majorelle Garden, the Koutoubia Tower, the Bahia palace. After lunch at the restaurant near the square « Djemaa el Fna», you will walk through the souks and discover hundreds of handicrafts. After web ring you back to your hotel.

Day 3: Marrakech –Tizii-n-Tishka pass (2200M) - Ouarzazat – Kalaat M’gouna (Rose valley) (1477m) - (1 night in kasbah).

Early morning after breakfast we head south and cross the high atlas by Tizi-N’Tishka (2200M). We head through 1000 kasbahs road, stop for Visiting the Almoravids Kasbah 11 century, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, one of the important parts for any visitor come to visit Morocco, this UNESCO –protected marvel has been used as a backdrop in a number of famous films, such as Gladiator, Games of thrones ….
We enjoy the spectacular views and have lunch in Ouarzazat city. After lunch we finish our road to Kalaat M’Gouna, passing by Skoura Oasis (Approximately 7 Hours). Your accommodation will be in a beautiful kasbah. The view from here is very charming, a paradise above the earth, from here you see the whole Rose valley, River and some old Kasbahs.

Day 4: From kasbah - Tabrkhacht – Agoulzi –Tighrmatine - Hdida (1300M ,1 night).

Leaving from Kalaat M’Gouna to Hdida village (Approximately 6-7 Hours), to explore the green valley, passing through villages and meeting some locals on the way. We have lunch in somewhere, near the river or under Walnut, Figs or Willow trees. In the afternoon you will have a cooking class to learn how to prepare some delicious Moroccan dishes.

Day 5 : Hdida Touzrrigte – Ait Said – Tourbiste – Boutaghrar ( Lunch ) – Kasbah El Hot (1580m) (1 night).

Departure from El hot to Agouti (6-7 Hour walking), follow the M’Goun river, you will most likely to see few local farmers going about their daily business along the way. Lunch picnic in Boutaghrar town. We spent the night in a local Gite (Rural Guesthouse).

Day 6: El Hot –Rabat, (1 night).

The trek continues through Agouti Gorge, crossing Timtda village to Issoumar (approximately 5-6h walking). Great view until the end of the Gorge … At some point during today’s hike, you will need to cross a river, depending on the water levels, so you need the water shoes.

Day 7: Rbat – Timtda – Issoumar (1680m)

Departure from Rbat to Issoumar (6-7 Hour walking) Enjoy a picnic lunch in Timtda village with nomad I twill be a different and unforgettable experience. After lunch continues our trek, the scenery is beautiful along the way, enjoy the high mountains, which offer a fantastic view of the M’Goun valley. After arriving, take a hot shower and listen to traditional music with the local women inside the guesthouse.

Day 8 : Issoumar – M’Goun valley – Tamglouna – Boutaghrar (1500m).

Follow the M’Goun River to Boutaghrar, passing through some villages, which are the homes of various Berber tribes. On this day you will need water shoes again. Along the way, you will find yourself amongst the locals in several villages and towns. After a long day, take some time to rest before joining your fellow women and enjoying a final dinner with the rest of the Group.

Day 9: Boutaghrar – Marrakech.

After breakfast head back to Marrakech city, make the most of your final night with your tour guide ,in the highlight of Red city , the main square Jamaa El Fna for dinner and entertaining.
